2008 was a dream inaugural year for the Rajasthan Royals (RR) as they won their first and only IPL title under the captaincy of Shane Warne. It has been 17 years since that season, and no such captain has come even close to achieving what a legendary Australian skipper could.

On 5th April, Saturday, the a clash between RR and PBKS, where Sanju Samson returned from a finger injury during IND vs. ENG 5th T20I from Jofra Archer’s bouncer.
PBKS won the toss and elected to bowl first, where RR set a humongous target of 205/4. The top-order batsmen Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson, and Riyan Parag scored a staggering 67, 38, and 43, respectively.
RR dismantled the PBKS batting line-up and restricted them to 155/9. Jofra Archer took 3 wickets by conceding 25 runs, Sandeep Sharma conceded 21 runs and took 2 wickets, and Maheesh Theekshana conceded 26 runs and took 2 wickets as well.
This victory for RR, led by Sanju Samson, made him the leading captain to get the most wins for the Rajasthan Royals with 32 wins. Breaking the record of Shane Warne’s 31 wins.
